The Les Paul guitar

The Les Paul guitar is a classic and a music referent. It was designed by Les Paul in 1952 for the Gibson factory.

The sound, very “creamy” and “fat” it´s one of the most important feature. Very requested in the Rock World. This sound it´s by the use of Mahogany wood for the body and neck and Rosewood for the diapason.

Another one important feature is the presence of a great “sustain” in the sound (the notes stay longer until it turn off). This feature is by the neck is glued to the body and not conected by bolt like the other guitars.

Finally other important feature is the use of double coil pickup that remove the “hum” sound, that always is present in a single coil pickup. The double coil pickup was absolutly unknown in that years.

Actually the Les Paul Gibson guitars still be a referent for guitarrist and factories. Always surprise us by quality and innovations like the Les Paul “robot” guitar that auto tuning without assistance.

Some of the most important guitarist that use a Les Paul are Slash from Guns and Roses and Ace Frehley from Kiss.
